Through these settings, I have worked with adolescents and young adults that are on the spectrum, experiencing a wide range of comorbid mental health difficulties. I utilize a client-centered approach and pull skills from cognitive-behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and play therapy. I am able to develop rapport that makes my clients feel safe and understood. After this therapeutic relationship is developed, we are able to work towards goals that are set. Being PEERS certified assists in better communicating with my adolescents.
